Will The Onkio Txsr-805 Help

I just purchesd the onkio 805 receiver I have the bic acoustech cinema series 6 speakers system I currently have a kenwood vr 6060. Will the new onkio make a major difference in sound quality ? i'm no expert the speakers do not impress me playing music now. but they are not set up.I bought it for the hdmi switching. and I got it for 654.00. what do guys suggest

the room is 20 by 30 and no I havent recived it yet. Im using a kenwood vr6060.

It might make a slight difference, it really depends on what about the sound you don't like.
