Why is so difficult for me to listen to denon x500 wit BA acoustics at higher volumes?

I have been adjusting the settings to go with my tastes but somehow it doesn't work, I find the denon pretty bright at higher volumes compared to the sony home theatre i own at my hometown.

Is it the Bostons or is denons bright & difficult to listen to at higher volumes?

How about other brands like yammy & onkyo? Any1 has experience with them?

It is not your receiver - you will need to EQ that treble down on the sat speakers.

Love it.
A little knowledge goes a long way explaining why the receiver appears to sound bright.
Much easier to blame the amp, an urban legend is born, than a favored speaker that has an FR all over the place.

You guys are all missing the point. I would say, "Prepare yourself for natural sounding vocals, thanks to the all-new Super Wazoo Tweeters specifically designed to deliver ultra-responsive, (+8dB) audio response for High-Resolution listening".

You know, that response reminds me of some of the Bose measurements that I have seen. Nice and flat in the area of human voice, but dreadful everywhere else. If you want to make a speaker that isn't a dead giveaway for junk right off, that is the way to do it. Vocals are always the first thing that tips you off that something isn't right.

Well its the way the BA Soundware are made, we have to live with it. I saw their A26 bookshelf which looked good to me, but didn't get the chance to demo it as they weren't connected to the avr.
But i tried to reduce the treble from the denon reciever but not much of a difference i noticed. The "tone" button had the option to do it.

Also the centre speaker should have been the regular rectangle size & not a cube.

You missed the boat on that one - there is no shooting arrow treble launch, on the Boston A series
bookshelf speakers - a set of them could have been real nice for you.
