The salespeople and managers are all being fired; what do they care about Circuit City now? They have nearly zero incentive to do what would normally be a good idea for making sales. If they are smart, they are already looking for other jobs, and will leave as soon as they find a good one.

You may have a point there - but there's no way I could have left that TV on the salesfloor. BTW - a friend of mine was in there about a week later and called me on his cell and I asked him if that ugly TV was still on display. I told him where to look for it and he said it was still on display... Although I went back just a few days before they closed to see if there were any cheap Blu-ray discs left and that TV was gone - and there wasn't much left in the store. I did grab a couple of titles for about $15/ea.

Given the current job market, I would not be so sure about that. I am glad I am not looking for a job at this time.

My CC experience was funny; I was applying half-assed for a credit card there.
They turned me down (which was ok), and... they gave me a free bottle of Coke out of the fridge!

I asked them, "What?"
Lady said, "If you don't get the CC, then you get a free drink!"


Weird. Oh well. Walk in, walk out with a free Coke.
