I switched from big class A mono transistor amps to a tube integrated a few years back (mostly thanks to Ski2xBlack bringing his little SET mono's over to my townhouse about 5 or 6 years ago).
Does my setup sound more accurate, absolutely not. But it does sound better after I settled on the right tube combo (to me). I listen to music on the stereo for enjoyment and relaxation. I don't need to be in the studio. If that were the case, I'd be at a live show or in a studio.
Same with adding and upgrading the LP portion of the system. Does it sound better, no, but it's gotten to the point where it is equal to the cd part of the system. The process of selecting and putting on an album is a nice ritual though, so it's place is cemented in my home.

Eh, just a different and less accurate approach.

Most of us on AH are firm believers in the gospel of ruler-flat accuracy and amps with incredible damping factors. .
That's only because most music is mastered for flat FR response (well properly mastered anyways).

Tubes can be fun. Just understand when you are entering EQ via Amplification territory and all is well. Even I have a house curve set for my home theater.
