Awright, change that to 226 movie titles, 135 discs of TV, and 18 music DVDs (not including DVD-As), making for a total of 379. Graarrrgggghhhh!!!!! More meat!

My movies are listed by their title with a few rare exceptions. If I was counting discs instead of titles, I would easily have to add 400 or more to my total. Without counting individual discs, I am now up above 1400 titles.

I don't buy but 5 to 10 movies a month anymmore because there just aren't many good movies out anymmore. Usually, when I add many titles in a month it is when I am cathing up on older titles I want to own. I try to be a little more selective now also as I know I will run out of space again and am running out of places in my HT room to put racks.

I'm not sure how many titles I have, but I do know that I just finished filling my 3rd 400 disc DVD changer. I also have a 264 book full of my kids' movies.

As for CD's I have about 700 along with 120 Gb of downloads most of which is Grateful Dead Concerts.

Some of the DVD junkies there have more than 3,000 DVD titles.


Personally, I have about 50 titles.


And oh, for anyone that's interested, I just scored a 6 disc set "Dai Guard complete collection" for $9.99 at Bestbuy. I guess that adds 6 more discs to my collection at less than $2 a piece.

Furrycute is correct. My collection is rather small compared to many others on other forums. dvdtalk and avsforum has some members with outrageous collections. I probably need to go through my collection and thin out titles I know I will never watch again. I'll probably wait unitl I run out of shelf space, but then do exactly that. It would more than likely get rid of several hundred titles. I just always buy because it is almost as cheap as renting and I hate getting discs that are scrathed and won't play. ebay anyone?

I have over 400 DVDs now...

My wife travels to Asia on a regular basis and picks them up DIRT cheap, like $1.50 CDN, so it gives me a somewhat unfair advantage...

About 50% are crap copies that get tossed, but for $1.50 the 50% that are good still make it a great deal...

Close to 500 DVDs now and 400 CDs. I concur on the issue of renting. By the time it is late 2 days, I could have purchased it. Besides, if you watch it more than 3 times, you have pretty much paid for it. Maybe a few ore time for a $20 disk.
