Those are obvious white van specials. Real junk.

Just stick with known brands and models. Don't trust any deals that are too good to be true.

In the late 80's I actually had an interview with a "speaker company"
Went to a warehouse in an industrial park...there were speaker boxes stacked to the ceilings, and sure enough...about 10 white vans.
I was already an audio salesman at the time. Before the interview even started, I took a look at some of the speakers that were lying about out of the boxes.
The manager came up to me and asked me to come in in office...I just walked out.

I remember the white van guys going back to mid-late 70's. I wonder if the 'salesmen" went on to become driveway sealers.

Ouch probably won’t be long til he realizes it’s white van garbage?? Don’t some of the tweets not even work , and they always got big fake woofers in the side . Bose cubes are bad but white van are even worse .

StereoNet forum maintain a list:

Arguably more insidious are Chinese counterfeit speakers sold through seemingly legitimate outfits, often at claimed deep discounts. For example, these B&W 800 series lookalikes: https://www.capitalsound.ca/music-note-grand-symphony-loudspeaker-walnut.

...are actually a re-branded version these:

The obvious markets of scam speakers:
1. White van
2. "Digital" stickers on the box or cabinet
3. See #1

Unfortunately the Chinese have zero regard for our copy write laws,or design patents when it comes to forging products. And really audio gear is simply the tip of an ever growing iceberg High end watches are a prime example, of the fake product industry.

It really comes down to the importer and sales side of things, If things can be proven to be fakes, state and federal laws should enact to legislate and confiscate the product. But that will never happen , there far more interested in collecting import tax's

Either way they look interesting, I could not fit a speaker this deeep. Must be very heavy.

I am just shocked that Stereophile dedicated 7 pages to review a speaker no one has heard of and another 3 pages to measurements. I have never seen them dedicate so much space to even the well known brands lol..

I quick search shows that the KD-52C is a Klipsch model but one of their cheapest. They often show up as factory refurbished. Not worth more than $100 - $120.

To answer the question, avoid ALL OF THEM. Who would someone go to for support if they have a problem?

It would be interesting for someone to take one for the team and buy a pair of these, then dig for info, based on the van's VIN and license plates, get photos of the guys in the van so facial recognition can be used.

The ship to address is WalMart. If Homebuys is selling them, it's probably not as an authorized reseller because WalMart isn't a Klipsch distributor, so there will be no warranty.

If you want to find out if Homebuys is a real dealer, you can contact Klipsch by phone, or on their website.

In a movie, I don't know which, someone said "What an ugly sweater!" and when he realized the person was in the room, added "Looks good on you, though".

yeah not sure there worth the hassle of contacting Klipsch, but I guess it wouldn’t take long .
it was sold inside the store not an actual van.

Probably not worth $80 then . Especially no warranty? I haven’t went back to check if they still have any . Why can’t you buy them online ?
