Do they call them JTR 215 because they have two 15’s or because they weigh 215lbs? Both are true! LOL :)
Nice. I never noticed the weight before. The models are based on the size driver. There was an explanation I heard about the RT and HT designations which may have just simply been that R denotes a higher quality driver. As I recall, there are some other permutations like RM and HTR... *shrugs

Still just a fantasy!

RT I think meant reference tower but can't think of what the others mean....if there's really much to it. RM reference monitor maybe? Where/what type of compression driver?

Yikes! $8k per speaker!! I know you can sell them for less, but I can get the JTR 215 for less than $4k per speaker. I'm not sure what the Platinum has for the extra $4k that could best the 215?
The Gold LCRs are selling for $2500 each right now.

Ok, now for sides and surrounds. Which would people prefer, using all JTR speakers.

Would using 6 of the Noesis 215RM's for sides and surrounds be good?

Or would using a combination of the 110HT and then putting the 110-HT-SL above it be a better option? So using 6 each for sides and surrounds.
