I have been looking to buy tower speakers for a couple weeks now, and have been narrowing down my list

I will be using these speakers and sub for strictly music.... the list includes:

1.

they both sounded relatively good in store (for the price), I will test them out again.

I like how the boston acoustics are a little bigger (6-1/2" woofers), so a bit more bass and power.

But the polk's are regular price $400...

what do you think ?

I would scratch the Polks right off the list. I don't think either of those subs will cut it to be honest. Don't be fooled by "sale prices" - none of what you're looking at is particularily great. The Boston acoustics tower speakers might be the only thing even worth looking at, although i'm not personally familiar with their sound.

I think the above Infinity Primus recommendation is a better option although it may be at its best with a superior amplifier. Also consider the used market. Where are you located?

Here is the review on the Infinity P360 by Stereophile:

http://www.stereophile.com/floorloudspeakers/605infinity

I think if you want bookshelf/monitor speakers + subwoofers, there may be better options.

But if you want $400/pr TOWER speakers, these are hard to beat.

Just don't compare them to $2,000 speakers.:D

As far as subwoofers, I think the Rythmik subwoofers offer better sound quality (more accurate, better Q-value), but the Emotiva Sub-12 offers more value since they are a lot less expensive.

If you want the best deals around?!! Check out Wisdom Audio, super cheap but top notch sound!!!!
(maybe not the cheapest compared to Infinity)
Cheap=Nuance......sound like crap though.

Ok no more messing around, i honestly recommend the Infinty 360 with Emotiva 12" sub. Great customer service, solid entry level sound!!!

So far these would be my pick. Three way speakers just sound better to me.
Better mids and highs. That sub is not bad either for the money and free shipping.
Another sub to keep in mind is the BIC PL-200 for $279 shipped.

The PL200 12"/250Watts RMS sub was designed by HSU Research, and have the same BASH amp. It is suppose to produce 110dB @ 30Hz, and is -3dB @ 22Hz.

I just bought one, so I will let you guys know how they sound.
