What are you driving (speakers and pre/pro)? I like the look of the Anthem personally. :p

+1, I am more of an anthem fan over Rotel also. Im not that familiar with legacy though. Rotel is a good brand, but anthem is an excellent brand in my opinion.

Currently in a 3.1 setup w/Energy C-3 bookshelves and matching center. Won't be upgrading speakers (will be towers) for another year, but I have the "wanna buy something for my system" bug right now, and am looking at amplification.

I won't be going with either of these models. Looking super hard now at pro-amps after reading extensively on them.

1095 over Anthem MCA in my opinion (check out the anthem all channels driven spec and the THD it does doing so)

never heard of legacy

Wow, you live such a sheltered life, woofer boy. :) I went to a Legacy demo up in Phoenix a few years ago. It was more for the speakers then the amps, though. I didn't feel like dropping $14k on a pair of speakers, so I wasn't paying all that much attention. :D

I would stick with the 1095 unless you want to step up to the Halo. I don't like the Anthem that much.

I was in a room with the Anthem and Rotel amps when I had to choose. I chose the Rotel based in a large part on the specs that Mike C is leading you to. Pro amps might be cheaper and way more powerful but they do have their drawbacks. I use the 12v trigger on my Rotel which can't be found on the pro amps. Some of the pro amps may also be lacking unbalanced RCA input connections, as well. IMHO, Rotel makes a solid, functional piece of consumer home theater equipment for a reasonable price.

Anthem and Rotel both make good amps. But I'd say save yourself some money and look at Emotiva, (unless you absolutely have to have the brand name).
