Which speakers that you have heard...

had the best tweeters you've ever heard so far. From manufacturer/DIY budget to high end. Just curious.

That's a tough one and it isn't just the tweeter that is the only factor. You can have the same tweeter in different speakers from different designers and they'll sound very different. It is all about implementation.

Tweeter alone? Vifa ring radiator type is very nice.

As a complete package, I like these:rm25xl

I heard these with some really nice tube amps and was impressed too

I ike the tweeters in the evo2 wharfedales, very nice tweeter you can listen for ever... I am also impressed with the imagine series from PSB, I hardly ever like metal tweets and I like that one... Im not sure which would be the best i have ever heard, I have heard so many and tend to remember them as a whole not just the tweeter..

The U.S. version is a better speaker (deeper bass with a flatter response; the -3dB point is 5 Hz lower), but the high treble is pretty much the same (I used to own a pair of the lesser version). Here is a review of the inferior international version (the version at the first link):

I think this might be the same "G2" tweeter that was used in the Salk Archos and Pharos speakers. Salk's glowing description of it seems right for the Aurum Cantus G2 tweeter.

My Apogee Stage speakers also have a very nice high end, though you cannot buy those new anymore. At the very top, the Aurum Cantus speakers might be slightly better. (The Apogee Stage is best in its midrange, and the bass is also quite good; it is a better speaker overall than the Aurum Cantus Leisure 2SE.)
