Which Speakers Should I Buy

Hi I am thinking about buying one of these two speakers. I am stuck in the middle, and both are so cheap that I can pass them up. If anyone could give me some input soonn that would beeee greatt. These speakers will be used to play music only. They will be used in a multi room 8 speaker settup. With a 650 watt Onkyo receiver and a monster Speaker selecter. I will be pruchasing 4 pairs of one of them.

On a purely paper basis, the Yamahas offer more up top and slightly less down bottom. Also, if they're being rated at 6O, I'd like to know what they output rated at 8O. I haven't heard either, so in real world performance, I have no idea. Wait for more seasoned opinions.

Are you not open to other options

I think Primus bookshelves would be better than either. Beta's would probably own either.

Heck TSCs offerings are probably better.

What's the budget? I would like to help you get something better than those 2 speakers.

If you have no choice. Go with the JBLs. They have better sensitivity the Yamahas have really bad sensitivity and I think JBL makes better speakers. If you are looking for extension neither will provide it. Both probably roll of badly at 100hz in real world use.

The reason I wanted to go with either one of these, is I know the owner of a hometheater store and I got offers for 6 slighty used JBL's for $65.00 and the Yamaha's in the same condition were the $63.50. I dont think that there is anyway that I can beat that price. I would much rather get better speakers, but for the money, im not sure its worth it.

Between the 2 I would choose the JBL, but you friend might have a better idea. He sells em after all. Nice grab though.
