I currently have a family room that is home to my home theater setup. I have 5.1 setup with Def Tec 7002's for front L&R and a 2500 for center and a couple of surrounds. Im still using my Denon AVR 3805 as my receiver. In my living room I have an older plasma that I believe the speakers are about to go out. This room is for more casual TV watching so I thought I would just get a sound bar for a few hundred bucks and call it good. Well I ended up getting a little surround package (Def Tec Procinema 400) and a referbed Denon AVR-S940H. My question is, should I put the new S940H in my main setup and move my 3805 to my living room and use with the Procinema 400? The main reason I ask this is because my old 3805 only processes DD and DTS and has none of the newer formats. To be honest I've never even heard any newer formats past DD & DTS. I still love my 3805 but wonder if it would be worth swapping out with the S940H for the new formats. Its been a long time since I posted anything here and I've been out of the AV loop for about 10 or more years to be honest. Guess that's what kids will do for you. Thanks for any advice.
