Modest and high end don't really describe power requirements. I'd power the M&Ks with the 82, but not sure what the others are.

There is a typo in my speaker info.

Minimum Power 2 watts RMS (Continuous). is an error. It should should read 25 watts.

From what I can tell, your new vsx-920 isn't going to work out all that well considering all your speakers are 4 ohm and the receiver isn't rated for that. I could be wrong though.

The VSX-920-K arrived Tuesday and I found the setup to be quite easy. The entire job from my opening the carton to attaching the cables, wires and components to playing my first DVD (not Blu-ray) took just a bit over one hour. The longest part of the process was my attaching the speaker wires.

This AV is a nice unit. There is no mistaking that it does not come close to matching the build or overall quality of the Pioneer Elite VSX-82TSX in my primary HT room. Nevertheless, the VSX-920-K has ample features and a solid sound system to make my den-office a quite comfortable place to work and to listen to music, watch TV or a DVD.

I do not have a Blu-ray player in the office as yet. Thus, I am using an older standard DVD player.

The VSX-920-K does a good job presenting both an excellent image and darn good sound from a standard disc. I played LEGENDS OF JAZZ as my initial test disc. I am satisfied that the 920 meets my "wants" for this room. The sound is rich, full and clear and presents a great range from the sub-woofer to the five other speakers

Regarding how the amplifier handled the 4 ohms, there was not a problem. I played the Legends disc completely and then played two hours of recorded music on my computer hard drive. The temperature of the AV hardly increased. It was certainly at an acceptable level throughout my first use of the AV.

IMO, this is a good entry-level AV at a decent price. It is a good choice for my small 12'X12' room.

If however, a high-end quality AV is required for a fully equipped HT system, I would suggest an AV with better build and features.

It would have been a mistake to move the VSX-82TXS into this room; it would have been a complete overkill because of the room size and the few components I am using in the room.

I hope that I did not bore readers with my comments. It is that I have leaned a great deal from reading experiences from other posters in the various threads that I want to pass on what experience I have just had.
