Where to Buy???

I think I've narrowed my speaker choices down to either Paradigm or B&W, with a big preference to B&W if I can find them at my price point.

However, I can't seem to find any retailers (local or online) that sell either at discounted prices. Any recommendations?

Yes, my dealer sells B&W speakers at a discount.

Dont' know about B&W, but Paradigm does not sell online. If you find a "dealer" selling online, they are not authorized and you won't get warranty coverage.

I have a severly limited number of dealers near me, so I can only give you my limited experience. You can always haggle with the sales rep and try to get a better price. I think something like 10-15% off would be "reasonable". I wouldn't pay MSRP anywhere. Usually you will get some discount if you buy multiple items. In general, you will find you get better deals if you are a repeat customer at dedicated audio stores. It takes building a relationship with the dealer or better yet a specific sales rep. I'm sure there are exceptions, but they are few and far between from what I have seen.

The only place to look for is ebay. From what i know, B&W does not allow another retailers to sell their speakers online.

I wouldn't say they're the only place. AudiogoN is a great place to buy high end electronics, like B&W speakers. What they lack in quantity they make up for in quality.

I bought my B+W's at Audiogon. Take a look because they have a good selection. They aren't new but they are usually in like new condition.

Man oh man...are those prices for pairs or just individual speakers??? $1,750 for ONE XT8 tower???

I don't know anything about the XT series, but the prices listed are each.
