Where do they hide the Video, Audio specs for streaming services

Is there a standardized reference point or are they all over the landscape? I would sure welcome the opportunity, when choosing a Netflix or YouTube stream, to know what the streaming specs are for best video and best surround audio and format. Is there such a treasure island out there?

Netflix allows you to set a preference for video, but not audio. It is in your preferences and allows either Auto based on connection, which is usually the default, and various low, mid, high quality settings. You will never see "specs" for what that stream rate is.

Audio is different for each program and is selected in the menu before you play that title. It will either show available choices or it will only have one choice.

You tube has these settings all over the place, but again, is different based on each individual item you're viewing.
