Where can I find a Pioneer AXD-7178 Remote for my VSX-D508 Reciever?

I'm a forum newbie and need some help with this, so please offer any advise or links that you think may help.

Problem : I have a Pioneer VSX-D508 receiver that was given to me by a friend. It works great and I love it. (The price was right!) I have a surround set-up connected to it but cant adjust the balance and frequency settings without this remote. I have hunted everywhere I know to look for one but I not able to find one. (Ebay, Pioneer, Google, etc.)

I know this remote (AXD-7178) has been discontinued by Pioneer due to the age of the receiver, but there has to be somewhere I can buy one. Alternatively, I have no problem using a substitute remote if anybody knows of one that can be programmed for this receiver.

The remember not to ask me when your looking for a Universal solution, cause starting msrp will be about 10x that

How else would you be able to control it? $60 isn't expensive- call a manufacturer and ask how much they charge for a replacement. It may surprise you.

Why not just get a universal remote? Then, you'd have one remote that controls everything.
