Just because its made in Canada or the US does not guarentee quality by any stretch of the imagination. No offense to Onkyo owners but that's one company that had way more problems with their product than should have been. On the flipside of this arguement are the Toyota/Honda plants in the US where quailty cars are being produced with little or no defects. The Honda/Toyota example can be applied to manufacturing in China. Its the onus of the parent company to ensure that quality control is maintained with its of shore operations.
