Hi all,

I am wondering what everyones opinion was on the best in-wall/in-ceiling speakers? I like Paradigm but i'm not too sure what their in-wall/in-ceiling speakers are like. I would love to hear what people like so I can price them out here.

Thanks
John

The Paradigm Studio in ceiling speakers are surprisingly good, however for mains I would try to avoid in walls in general. If you must, you must, in which case I'd stick with the Studios from them. A friend has Studio 20s and a CC470 up front with 4 in ceiling speakers for surrounds and it sounds goood.

Ive heard the B&W in walls before. They actually sound pretty damn good. I was amazed.
Who made the in walls that were in the CES show video. I cant remember but with a in wall box design I would imagine those should sound pretty good as well.

I have a 5.1 system using the Axiom In/On wall speakers. They use the same parts as in their bookshelf speakers. No issues. Love them.

If you want a link to an in-depth review of the Axiom in-walls PM me. The short and sweet is they are much better than the conventional in-wall offerings listed in this thread so far. Please don’t get me wrong I am not knocking the manufacturers, but the Axioms are awesome in-wall hybrids

Better than B&W's with 8" woofers? I just don't see how.

Triad seems to make good inwall speakers. They are pricey, but supposedly have the exact same sound as their in-room speakers (Is that possible? I haven't compared them.) They are about as "custom" as you can get. They build the speakers after you order them. If you need them to adjust the dimensions of the boxes they will. Definitely worth a look.

The Axiom is a hibrid in-wall, note the word vs conventional. Loudspeaker driver surface area is not the only consideration when selecting speakers.
The NXG NX820W has an 8-inch woofer and retails for $249 MSRP or about $135 street.;)
