What's the best "off the shelf" multi room home theatre system?

We're looking to setup a new entertainment system. We have a large living area and a separate room that we want to be able to play music in.

We're purchasing a 75" TV and looking for a great home theatre solution for it.

Best case ideal situation would be..

Living Area: Sound bar + subwoofer + 2 speakers for surround sound
Second room: 2 wireless speakers

This is mainly for parties where we will have guests in the second room as well, and we want to be able to use the TV to play YouTube music videos and play the music through both rooms simultaneously.

I'd assume we'd switch off the speakers in the second room when we're watching movies etc.

Would this best be done through Sony products using the Sony Music Center software?

Thanks heaps in advance for help here!

I think you answered your own question. Just get a single HEOS wireless speaker for the second zone.

Lots of options available these days made easy to control via Smart apps. You could do Denon/Marantz with HEOS, Onkyo with Sonos, Sony and others with Chromecast, Yamaha and Musiccast or Airplay 2 enabled receivers and speakers to be controlled with Apple devices. You could also run wire to speakers in the other zone and control them from the receiver itself. I keep saying receiver because, connected to better speakers, it is more suited to a large room than a soundbar connected to a TV and will give you more placement, audio and control options.

I would suggest and this right now has been a go to for a lot of people on or off a budget. Sound bar I would avoid all together

Even if you just purchased a 3.1 channels that would be far better than a sound bad. Which is a left and right speaker and a center channel.

If you want a set up like you suggested would be much more immersive.
