whats goin on here????

i ordered a pioneer vsx84txsi and then the dealer said that it would take a while, so i wait, and wait, today i call back and they say 10 more days, but the new one that i am waiting for will have hdmi 1.3 so i am like ok ill wait for that one. I was a bit skeptical so i called pioneer directly and the rep said that if it was a new one it would have support for hdmi 1.4 and so i (very confused at this point) said ok . So my question here is whats goin on? I thought the unit had hdmi 1.2 and i never knew of revisions for 1.3 and never even ever knew there was a 1.4

Sounds to me like they are upgrading the HDMI features on the current models to at least 1.3.

FWIW, I've never heard of 1.4 either but at least you should be able to count on 1.3.

I don't see any info on 1.4 or even any mention of there being a 1.4 anywhere, though you said they said "support for..." so that may just be something they are preparing for?
