What you guys think about my setup

Ok Im a rookie with Audio system. Before I open the box. I just want to know what you guys think about my setup + did I get a good deal? If not I might have to sale it on ebay or craigslist. A local AV store is going out of business so the owner sold me this setup:

SONY KLV-40ZX1M paid $1800
2x MONITOR AUDIO RS8 $1100
SONY STR-DA3500ES $900

Total $3800

My buddy told me to sell it and get something better, I just want the forums opinion ..

I would say it's a good deal, but not a great deal. It’s a decent start to a nice setup. You’ll want to make sure you purchase the matching center for the MA RS8s. There may be better ways to spend the money, depending on your wants/desires.

You’d still have about $2000 to put toward a good 5.1 speaker setup.

Thanks..I might go with a bigger TV..As of right now Im looking for 52in and better receiver for the speakers.

Need to sell my TV and Receiver ASAP taking to much room..If anyone is interested in my brand new tv and receiver please make me a offer before i post it up on ebay..
