Seriously, I have no life.
I gots the LP120, also -- wanted one of the new Technics 1200s, but can't drop 4K on that sucker...the LP120 is a nice affordable stand in. And mine isn't quite as old as yours, but it's up there.
While the 1200 G is $4k (or lower depending on your shopping leverage with the right vendor), the 1200 GR is a more "reasonable" list price of $1700 :) My SL1200mk2 is still doing quite well after 35 years, tho.

Hey K! Great stuff you're posting! How about a real pic of your setup?
I'll work on it...

Nothin' really special in my two-channel rig (I have separate rooms for 5.1 surround and hi-fi); rockin' an Onkyo TX-8555 stereo receiver, Marantz CC4001 five-disc CD changer, TASCAM CD recorder, Numark CD MIX1 dual CD player/mixing unit, Audio-Technica AT-LP120-USB turntable and Infinity Primus 365 towers...

Yeah...still would be out of our budget....

I wish they still offered them for what I bought my 1200s for back in the day, around $800 or so....

Last I looked I saw them still in that price range...but haven't looked in a while. Didn't pay near that much in the first place back in 84! What's the pricing like now?

Well G is not MK. If you go MK7, it's still that price new.
