what to upgrade??????

Hi guys, new to the forum and looking for some advice.
I currently am running a b+w mt30, denon 2808 receiver and pioneer lx52 bdp.
Which would I get the most improvement from.....a denon bdt3313ud or the denon avr 3313??
Any advice welcome. ..Cheers

Neither. If you are unhappy with sound, its either a set up/placement issue, or you just are ready for new speakers. Go out and hear as much as you can, it'll give you a better idea of what you are looking for before making the next purchase!

Speakers (including sub) affect at least 90% of total sound quality. 9% is room acoustics, 1% is in electronics.
Upgrading AVR might give an improvement, but it would limited to small fraction of a single percent of improvement.

Like already mentioned, you should look for new speakers to improve sound. Or possibly try new placement for your current speakers with room acoustics in mind.

Between these two, I'd pick the AVR assuming you're using HDMI from the Pioneer player to it.

A proper subwoofer. And, no you don't own one.
