"What the Bleep Do We Know?"<---------Very good movie!

It blends quantum physics, philosophy and physiology in a very entertaining way. It's a bled of feature and documentary film styles. A little odd but very refreshing and unique.

It even made ME think of the possibilities of a "higher power".

Warning: MUST be viewed with an open mind!

Boo Hoo nobody loves me

Has anyone here seen this movie?

Speak up...there's lots to discuss.

It's not exactly a movie to flex the muscle of the HT but it's still worth a watch.

Ironlung the new age swami guru

Mtry,

Thanks for the reviews. I already feel more enlightened.:)

I was about to sign my house over to the church of higher learning. Until Mtry knocked some sense into me.;) ;) ;) <---That was sarcasm.

Please do not mistake my suggestion or enjoyment of the movie as accepting the "science" presented blindly. You guys should know me better than that by now. You can admit that even complete works of fiction can shed light on the human condition. Even the bible taken as literature has some value in it's storys and we all know it's pretend.;)

We can have threads that go on for hundreds of post on Jesus. How bout a little new age pseudo-science.:D

EDIT: How about movies like "Leaving Las Vegas" and "Truman Show"? Both totally fiction. Nothing to learn there?

Well, sorry for the misinterpretation of your post then:D At times I am just not sure what is meant by such a post, etc.

Yes, for enjoyment, it may be just great. I enjoyed the series Medium, Ghost whispers or whatever, 4400, etc.
I suppose one should know up front about their presentation of science in this one as it appears that that is what they are trying to sell, not the theatrics of the movie.

They don't present themselves as *science*.

"What The Bleep Do We Know" does...and it's crap. Unless you also believe in 'Ramtha'.

Rule of thumb: when someone starts referencing quantum theory, without a real need to, in an attempt to 'sell' an idea...put away your wallet and reach for your gun instead. Then charlatans like Deepak Chopra and the people behind this movie would have a tougher time of it.

if you liked the science aspect of the film and want to see another documentary.. the elegent universe is a pretty good beginners introduction into physics and all that.

its pretty basic, but gets into things that are way above my head. sort of in the same range as what the bleep..

im not sure how the reviews are going to argue with scientific claims like in what the bleep.

this one is a straight documentary by nova. very well done, and easy to watch

I saw this film on a recommendation from a colleague at work. I became curious as to why none of the "experts" in the film had any of their credentials listed underneath their name during their comments, but until after the movie. The film had interesting visuals and themes, however the science was bad and it turned out that this was a just a sales pitch selling new aged theory.

Plus, Ranmtha?! Come on, why not say 25,000 year old warrior from Atlantis up front? You all know why, no one would even look at this film as anything other that eye candy.

What the Bleep... at best Psuedo Science, at worst Bad Infomercial

I haven't seen the movie, but it sounds to me like someone got jealous of L. Ron Hubbard's cult making all the money.

That's about right. Now substitute John Travolta for Marlee Maitlen and you've got it 100%.

Seriously rubbish movie, that. Bad acting, bad story-telling, and bad scientific references. Give it a skip.
