what speakers to get

Hi i have musical fidelity M6CD player parasound JC2 pre amp and parasound A21 power amp. My question is what speakers to get. I am thinking Paradigm S6 and Dynaudio s5.4, but ive also been recommended Usher and Focal. I listen to mainly metal and prog rock....any ideas...suggestions?

My suggestion is to listen to some different makes locally. You won't get an exact impression due to room acoustics, different source components, etc, but it should give you an idea.

You could also evaluate online speakers like Aperion or EMP which offer a 30 day trial and FREE shipping BOTH ways. That way you are not on the hook if you don't like them.

Speakers are way too subjective to recommend to people. Even aesthetics can come into play for some.

Now if you are looking just for deals ($ off), that's a lot easier to do.
