I blew the fuses in my cerwin vegas...they are the VS-120 tower model..i took the fuse out and went to home depot for new ones...they didn't have it any of that kind and was forced to get something close to it..i put it in and it worked until i cranked it up and a hour later they blew..so i let the speakers sit for a few months and now I don't remember what kind of fuse these bad boys run on correctly..any ideas anyone..I can't find any info on the net so i'm trying here..HELP

Seems not. Hey, they're YOUR speakers.

Unless someone has those exact speakers, how could you expect anyone else to know?

I'm curious why you got rid of the original fuses in the first place when you knew the replacements weren't the right ones.

You might try CV customer or tech support or the owner's manual. You did keep that, right?

Now, in direct answer to your question, any fuse that fits will WORK but will they work correectly is the question you need to be asking.

There are two areas in which to concern yourself.

1) A fuse with a LOWER amperage rating will blow out at a lower level than your speakers are capable of handling. Your speakers wil be overprotected.

2) A fuse with a HIGHER amperage rating will not blow out when your speakers are on the verge of "blowing out", thereby affording no protection at all. IOW, your speakers may well have evaporated into little puffs of smoke. ...but the fuse will still be good, if that's any consolation.
