Hi everyone,

Can you please help me identify the audio out port and if possible tell me what cable should I use to connect speaker to my led TV.

The port looks like 3.5mm but has a screw shape.
I tried connecting speakers, but didn't work.

Thanks in advance for your expertise and guidance.

Regards

Romuald

Beats me. Can you supply model numbers of the equipment?

Please, whatever you do, don't stick your finger in it...
xD Sorry man, never seen it. It looks like a funky female coaxial in.

Weird. According to this video it's a head phone jack. I've never seen one like that before.

It is a standard 3.5mm output that is not exclusive to headphone, the same way you would connect most (headphone jack equipped) phones to some external devices. Not sure why you would use it vs. most of the other connection types offered there.

Well that's the only audio out I could see. No RCA or other audio out ports. It's really puzzling me

What kind of speakers and stereo system do you have? Does the stereo have hdmi ports?

Once I know how and what to connect, I would purchase the speaker/soundbar.

I tried with a PC amplifier/speaker, which connection to the amplifier is 3.5 mm jack and from the amplifier is RCA. It didn't work. I would like to connect it of possible or to purchase a soundbar adapted to the led tv. Hope i explained clearly enough

Check the settings on the tv. you might need to "enable" that audio port.

It's Ecostar CX-55U571 LED TV
I think the problem here is Ecostar is a company based in Lahore Pakistan. The manuals are not good. But according to what I can determine the only audio out is SPDIF digital. The manual does not specify what the connector is. In the most of the world this connector is usually Toslink optical or RCA coax. That connector does not look like either to me. There is no analog audio specified.

You will have to ask Ecostar what it is. Being Lahore they might fit a different connector by the day of the week. I fear it is a digital connector none of us are familiar with.

Lastly please do not double post. This creates confusion and extra work for everyone.

I don''t see many TVs with analog out, actually not in a long time. My Samsung has that same port and requires a special adapter cable that came with it to output analog audio from it. the assumption is you will use HDMI for your audio on most current TVs.

Seriously, I have no life.
The outside has screw threads. Most likely to mount the socket to the back panel behind that grey, thin panel.
If you have headphones with that 3.5mm shaft, try it. Is there a mention of a headphone in the manual?

Wow what shitty website support...they don't even list a manual for the 571 series when I looked. LED TVs and washing machines....interesting.

Could you send me a pic of your adapter cable please?
