I've got a technical question I'm hoping someone can help me with.
I'm running a bastardized 4.2 channel system with 2 integrated amps running from my Denon 2200's rca outputs. No problem other than having to adjust front/back gain independently.
But now I'm about to add a Behringer DEQ and external dac for 2 channel listening.
What I'm wondering is, now that I have the Denon set to output PCM (all my dac can handle), and got multichannel with no centre channel selected, is the Denon's digital out outputting a downmixed 5.1 or just the L&R channel. If it's the former I'll be getting rear channel info in the rears and downmixed into the front i.e too much of it. If its the former I'l be in the position I have been in all along which is no problem.
