I am not familiar with servo subs. How are they different from other types of subs?

I believe a servo sub is a sub that has a feedback mechanism(the servo) that measures the movement of the speaker. The sub then can make a comparison between the desired output and the measured output and make adjustments to obtain the desired output. Properly implemented a servo sub should sound pretty good.

To expand upon that, a good servo sub utilizes an accellerometer that measures the cones movement. A servo ciruit then compares the actual movement to the input waveform and adjusts accordingly.
