Out of those choices, I would select the Infinity Primus speakers, no doubt.

what sub would you recomend and also do you think that the yamaha reciever would make a perfect mate
I'll second the Primus pick. One of my nephew's have an RF-52 setup. It's ok for movies - for music it is painful to my ears for more than a few minutes at moderate to high levels. Very piercing.

For subs look at Elemental Design - Outlaw Audio - Emotiva - HSU - these are all Internet Direct (ID) - there are other not ID companies. My personal opinion is there is no better deals than buying ID - or refurbished. Better yet buying from an ID company's refurbished. Thats how I got my Elemental Design sub. Awesome sub.

I'd change the AVR to Yamaha RX-A1000 ($656 vs $799 for A810)
Stick with infinity speakers

Subs - definitely go ID. You should have about $900 for sub(s)
What will be your usage of this system (HT/Music) in percentage ?
How big is your room? Is it open to other rooms?

I personally would never buy any speaker without auditioning it. Only you will know if you will love or hate it.

I agree that to my ears the Klipschs' 52s 62s etc... are very ear piercing and voices sound honkey. I've never liked anything with horns but some people do really like them. To each their own.

I've not heard the Infinity Primus speakers.

It's not horns in general, it's the horn profile and mediocre compression drivers, and unbalanced crossovers of lesser speakers that you dislike.

With the right horn geometries optimized for sound quality, and the right tweeters and crossover, horns can sound every bit as good as a dome tweeter, except with effortless dynamic range. These types of horns are mostly unsuited for ultra high spl pro sound application though, so you don't see them often.
