I have a Parasound A21, 2 Ch. amplifier and a Denon AVR-X4400H receiver. What kind of interconnects should I buy to run from my receiver to my amp? I prefer monoprice for my cables but not sure what I need for this amp...
Thank you for your time!

Monoprice or blue jeans cable if your on a budget. When I can I like to go with audioquest if my budget allows . I’ve had great results with all of the above .

In general though would XLR to RCA sound better. I ask because I do not have the manual to the Parasound amp.

You have RCA (the source) to XLR (the sink) and the direction actually does matter as to how the three pins in the XLR are wired to the RCA and it depends on the devices you connect.

Luckily your Parasound amp has RCA inputs so just use those and call it a day.

I Goggled the manual, and here is one link, and read page 3:

Either of those will work just fine and I’d look at Worlds Best cables on Amazon too Mabey a little more but better components and top notch cable of your choice .

For long RCA to RCA interconnects, the Blue Jeans Cable LC-1 or LC-2 is the way to go.
It's the heavy braided shield that makes the difference in hum & buzz in long interconnects.

This is one use case for XLR (at both ends) but not that common outside pro audio, though there are exceptions of course.

There are lots of hi-fi active speakers and amps placed near the speakers that use long RCA interconnects.
But yes, a balanced XLR output stage >> balanced XLR interconnect cable >> balanced XLR input stage is a better plan for long hi-fi interconnects.

For pre to amp in the same rack, it probably doesn't benefit you. I use those WBC XLRs from my pre to amp though, because they create a lot less "spaghetti" back there.
