what Impedance are paradigm monitor series speakers?

thats what it says on the product sheet.

"Impedance Compatible with 8 ohms"

trying to figure out what gauge speaker wire to use for about 35-40 feet for rear speakers.

according to the chart, looks like i could go with 14-16 gauge, do you lose anything by going with a thicker wire? or it doesn't matter and just get 12 gauge?

if its for the surrounds 14/4 would be fine to run.
