What has gotten me excited about HT?

For now, it's HTPC + ATI Radeon HD5750 = bitstreaming of DTS-HD MA, DTS-HD HI RES, DOLBY TrueHD, & LPCM on HTPC.

For the future, it's 4K & 8K Video.

I guess what excites us depends on what we have.

If you say that you are not excited, it probably means you already have everything.

It's no wonder all those DAMN RICH people are so depressed!!!
They already have EVERYTHING and nothing else can make them happy.

But what SHOULD make ALL of us excited about HT is that we can share it with our families and friends!

It would make me extremely excited if my 2 daughters, my wife, and I could all watch a great movie together in my HOME THEATER ROOM.

The interesting developments on the horizon for me are 3D and the integration of web widgets and browsers directly into networked TVs.
