Other than the TV, they don't touch my gear. I use my minivan to move my gear.

If the mover's insurance pays for it, I will get the speaker replaced. I just bought them 3 months ago, so I'm not in the market for anything new.
It has nothing to do with being in the market. But I would not settle for just replacing the tweeters. JMO

Damaged speaker

Make sure you get a matching set of the tweeters and labor to have them installed by an authorized dealer/repair center.

Sorry to hear about what happened to your tweeters.

The S8's are one heck of a nice pair of speakers. Now they are ruined. Man, can't imagine the kind of anger you must be feeling right now.

Hope the insurance claims come through.

Wow, must have been a bunch of apes moving your stuff if they did that with them packed in the crates. They definitely need to reimburse you in some way. They should have insurance for stuff like this.

If I attempt to replace the tweeter myself, do I need to do any soldering?
I am heartbroken for you buddy... that is just atrocious......

I highly doubt you would need a matched set of tweeters... See HERE for how audioholics took out the tweeter, its no big deal, I'll bet its just connected with spades.

Paradigm more then likely just grabs them out of a bin, and slaps them in.

Good luck on the reporting to get your money for the replacements, it might be some time, I would suggest just ordering the replacements and sending the bill, rather then waiting for them to approve anything... :)

Please take some pics of the new tweeters and removal process, I would love to see the differences from the .v1 to the .v2 tweeter assembly...

Just wondering how this may have happened. You said you put them back in there crates, is that the same as cardboard box's like mine all came in?? Usually thick cardboard box with up the guzuu thick styrofoam, they were made for shipping!! They can almost be droped off a building and survive, so maybe some SOB, took it out of the box because he was curious what it looked like? I remmember when I shipped back to the States and I had these beautiful pair of shields with real cross swords and the shields made it but the swords are now property of a prick!
