pzaur Audioholic Samurai Dec 31, 2009 #43 I gave my computers a Christmas gift by updating every driver where an update was available! Found almost all of them on cnet.com. It took a little searching, but, fairly simple to do. Used the driver update/search function created by pcpitstop.com and then searched for the files on cnet. No reason to pay for what is free. -pat

radridd Audioholic Dec 31, 2009 #45 I am bummed out. My Oppo is still sitting in the back of a UPS trailer waiting to be unloaded. Will be there until Monday. Even tried to bribe an employee to dig it out and let me come pick it up. These guys just don't understand Audioholism is a sickness.

For some reason I just corrupted my System32 files when I was updating the video drivers and now the computer is on the total fritz. I just loaded another XP session on the second HD just to reboot. Of course this just totally screwed up my booting from the first HD even worse. I hate computers. Sure glad I just bought this new laptop.

G Gior Enthusiast Dec 31, 2009 #51 I picked up a bad case of UPGRADETITIS. Started innocently enough with a pair of Seaton SubMersives to replace a Velodyne DD-18. Then I started looking at EQ's for the SubMersives. Now it looks like I'm going to upgrade my Integra DHC-9.9 to a DHC-80.1 for the .2 sub output since it looks like they are truly independent. Next thing I noticed that Emotiva is having a great sale on their XPA-1's, so I ordered a pair of those off Cathy. Now I'll have 2 extra amp channels left over so I can drive the DSX channel which means I need speakers. Was originally looking at getting some Klipsch KL-650's as they are relatively small, but after doing a bit of research, ended up getting really interested in the JTR Triple 8's, Triple 12's and now Quintuples. Also, will have to order racking for the new amps too. Not happy now

J James NM Audioholic Jan 1, 2010 #52 What gear did you get for Christmas? Click to expand... Well, let's see .... Denon 4310 AVR, LG 47LH90 TV, Sony PS3, B&W 683 x 2, B&W 685 x 2, Belkin PF60 power protection, and maybe a couple of other things I've got my eye on. I guess I was a very good boy this year.
