What do you think about the Canton movie CD1000

Loo all,

I wanna buy a 5.1 soundsystem that isnt to expensive (+/- €600 that is $811). Was thinking about buying a canton 5.1 set i heard good reviews about it but havent heard it myself. I'm hoping you guys can tell me abit more of this soundsystem and purhaps other recommendations.

These are the soundsystems i have looked for so far:
1- Canton movie CD1000 cost €550 that is $742
2- Canton 150 QX cost €333 that is $450
3- Harman Kardon HKTS 11 cost €325 that is $440
4- Pioneer S-V70-IV cost €525 that is $710

What you think about the sound quality of the canton movie cd 1000? I assume its better then the canton 150 QX?

I have no idea I have not heard them.I like bigger speakers and hate the silver look of the other ones......

I would say the Canton 150QX (in black ), but for that kind of money I'd think you could do better than a satellite system. Not that satellites can't sound good (I'm still enjoying my Klipsch Promedia system after 8 years with it's puny 2.75" woofers), it's just something people here will recommend.

Satellite speaker systems are mainly used to please the wife, you're very limited in space, or need something that's easily transportable. Though satellites are fine for surrounds. Wish I could recommend something else, but I'm still a newb.

I live in the Netherlands and unfortunatly soundsystems are allot more expenisive then in the USA thanks to the taxes Why do you choice the Canton 150QX above the Canton movie CD 1000? Though the CD 1000 had better mainspeakers (so a better total package),but then again i'm a newbee if it goes about audio.

I'm open for any other sound suggestions and your thoughs abot that Canton set.

Mainly cause it has 4" woofers, lol. That may not be the best reason to choose them, but like I said I'm still newb.
