I've never heard their newer lines, but I thought their older models were very impressive for the price.

From my experience over the past 5-7 years using different Newton series models of their speakers, I feel they offer a well built, solid sounding speaker for the money. I personally found them well suited for music, a bit laid back for predominantly HT usage, but a decent balance for both.

If you're considering them, look into their outlet store or for an even better deal, their eBay store. I've found their refurbished or returned speakers are in basically new condition for almost half the price of their in-store/online store, giving you an even better bargain. -TD

Over the years I have owned 2 sets of Ensemble 1, one pair of Tower 1, one 12 inch powered soundwoofer, one 15 inch powered subwoofer. All have given musical satisfaction. In fact they are still functioning in my daughters households and still sounding fine.

I like the higher Newtons, and the Newton subs are decent, but there are plenty of good speakers that are as good or better out there in the same price range. If you aren't paying full price, they are competetive. IMO, I like the M50, M60 and M80.

I have the M-80's in a 12x12 room upstairs. They sound very good.
I've taken them apart, and found them to be well made.
Also, they come with a warrantee that's longer than most.
I agree with J Garcia.
They sell 'B-stock' opened box, or scratched items.
See their web site.
