What can i do to keep my subwoofer still

I have my subwoofer on the floor currently and after listening for awhile the sub ends up a good foot and a half or so away from where I had it it has those little rubber things on the bottom to keep it from moving but on the hardwood floor it doesn't help at all. it's currently nothe a issue but I'm about to put it on a shelf to get it off the floor and hide all the wiring. So I'm looking for any ideas that will help keep the sub in one spot but also not rattle or vibrate against anything. I would hate for the sub to be damaged if it fell. TIA

Put a 25lb plate weight on it haha. Not telling you what to do, but on a shelf is not ideal, but what works for you is. I'm assuming it's a small sub? I have a small 8" that would walk itself on hardwood, I put a piece of carpet under it, problem solved.

I was at a audio show where a exhibitor literally did just that. It was one of those Sunfire subs with a crazy passive radiator. The PR was so heavy and had such long throw that it would walk the sub around when you really had it jamming. The exhibitor thought the sub was great and loved it despite its tendency to wonder.

I put large rubber feet on my diy subs, no walking. What do you mean little rubber things? What sub is it?

Could you use metal spikes instead of rubber feet? I guess your sub is quite light weight of it moves.

I personally have build similar platform like these https://www.auralex.com/product/subdude-ii/ and my sub stands on it with metal spikes, I used auralex platfoam for them. Haven't had any issues about sub moving on floor.
