This is from my EQ settings section on my Yamaha receiver. I have no clue what they are for and what they affect if adjusted, can anybody explain this to me?

Those are your Low to High Freq adjustments. The DB is for how much, or how little you want each adjustment to be for your listening tastes. Usually Mids are cut more than Lows and Highs.
