Wharfedale Diamond Surrounds

Hi,

Does anyone know a cheap source for the Wharfedale Diamond DFS Surround Sound speakers?

I got a pair of diamond 9.2's, diamond CM center and now looking for the surrounds which is hard to find.

I've seen some on ebay but they are offshore and shipping is way too much.

Would the Mirage Omnisats do the job? They would be much cheaper than the diamonds. I don't know if the mismatch would be critical or not. I would not mind getting the omnisats(ver.1), however, from the look of their size, they don't seem to be able to put out much bass.

the diamonds are very pleasant to hear, never harsh on the ears. I'm surpised at their performance vs. price.

thanks! :)

I dont expect bass from surrounds honestly but you're right in assuming the omnisats don't have much. Also I notice them to be a lot less efficient than the studio monitors I run for mains. I sometimes need to give the surround channels a 2db boost at the amp to compensate...

Would it be better getting those budget Streem BP-100 Surround Bipole Speakers than the omnisats? their freq. response does not go down to 80hz as stated by the mirage but it does have larger enclosure and twice the # of drivers. Fluance has a similiar bipole speaker. Just not sure if it's even worth it to get these budget type speakers.

the axiom qs8 surrounds really make sense the way the drivers are situated. The price however I think is over board.

Yes, I just checked with them recently. Will be special order.

I was really hesitant to jump into the diamonds but the price was great.
I'm pretty pleased with them. Looks like their currrent lines are phasing out.
