Weird thing noticed on my plasma

I notice once in a while it seems like the bightness of my pictures slowly goes up and down. I noticed it when watching a DVD, but now I am getting paranoid and think I see it all the time. Anyone know what could be causing this? Would it likely be the DVD, the DVD player or the Plasma?

Does your TV have some sort of dynamic brightness adjustment that changes the settings based on ambient light in the room??? My LCD panel has this and it can easily be turned off in the "picture" menu. I don't remember what it's called on my set but you should try to locate and turn this setting off to see if it fixes the problem.

Thank you for the suggestion. I don't think I have that feature and the problem happens when the light in the room is consistant.
