They sell a "eight inch cream-filled long john". Or just ask for the 'pirate penis'. ;)

Have any of you tried a Tim Hortons dough nut in Canada? I've found them to be much tastier, and leaner then Krispy Cream and other brands.

I prefer KK over Tim's, especially now that Tim's has ruined the Apple Fritter.

All donuts are sweet, of course, but Krispy Kremes are just too sweet for my taste.
Yep, me too. They opened up one in this area, and my mom wanted to go, and we were both dissapointed. It soon closed up and is now a "Waffle House".

There was a place near my mother's house in Las Vegas, At Maryland and Twain, that made donuts from potatoes and I liked them better than any others I have ever had. Of course, it went out of business. Their sugar twists were awesome! This other place made great donuts, but they used to sell these little Twinky sized cakes with a ton of real cinnamon in them. They had 2 kinds, a devil's food, and a "Vanilla Spice", and that one was my favorite baked good, ever, period. They had a break in and the burglar set the place on fire. The owner's weren't insured very well, and it was about 1982, and the economy sucked, so they just retired. I was devastated!

There is a nearby bakery here, a family run place, that still has pretty great stuff, but even their stuff isn't what it used to be, 30-40 years ago. I thought it was just me, but I heard the same from people who worked there!
