I have a Wilson Audio's Watt/Puppy 5.1 speaker system.
A few days ago,I ordered Mpingo speaker spike shoes and placed these shoes under my speaker spikes and also i increased(20degrees) my speaker's toe-in angle. After that i could not listen the music.Because dirty sound was produced..I restored its original angle(10degrees)..

I have questions.

Q1) Does toe-in angle effect the sound?

Q2) What is the most proper toe-in angle?

Q3) Can i ask you that the right placement of watt/puppy?
(the proper distance between two speakers,toe-in angle and the distance from the back wall )

My room is 5m(Wide) X 6m (Depth) .
Distance between two speaker is 2.5m.
Toe-in angle is 10degrees.
And departed from back wall at 70cm.
My listening point is the last point of regular triangle.

Thanks!

Toe-in helps define the spaciousness of the front soundstage. The reference below on Configuring Your Home Theater describes the toe-in recommendation (experiment), and from the setup diagram, it looks like the front left and right form a 90 degree right angle to the seating position. In other words the front left and right speaker are each at a 45 degree angle off the centerline from the listening position to the line between the speakers. Mine, due to space limitations, are set next to a large DLP TV, closer to 30 degrees and work ok but probably not optimum. As far as measurement of distance between speakers, I would try for the general right angle and not worry about the distance. You want the seating position a little forward of the center of the room it possible and then try for a right angle if possible. With a little more information, somebody who remembers the formulas for figuring out angles and distances could probably give you calculated measurements.

Speaker position

Nice speakers.
The speaker position and toe in will effect their performance. There is now right answer for the toe in becuase it depends on the speakers interaction with your room and your listening preference.

If you haven't already, investigate room treatments for your high end system.

Mmm, Levinson and Wilson Audio. Very nice. I need to start a Sophia Series 2 fund.
