btw... how much would a level 3 treatment like that cost?
I believe it depends on a lot of factors. Are you building a new room from scratch, or trying to fix an existing one? Choice of contractors. A bad room, which Im sure is the type most of us have, will incur a lot of costs in EQ. Then you have to consider pure aesthetics. For pretty rooms like those where its all integrated, its usually built from scratch. About 12k to 15k is what I've heard, on top, for L3. Details/finish is where it adds even more. The materials are supposedly common, but the construction techniques are unique and/or difficult.
This is about as much as I know. All I will say is if you have a great room to begin with, then you are lucky. Trying to make a bad room perfect seems to require tremendous amounts of time and "band-aids". Time on your behalf as well, not just whoever you hired. There are those who have compared their own band-aided Rives room with others' built from scratch, and it seems the built from scratch sound better, as you might guess.
