If it is 'floating' using magnets, why would there be questionable isolation? Seems like a shock absorber to me. The inertia of the equipment would offset any vibration that could be put through the magnets.
The picture is kind of small, if it doesn't touch the bottom unit it should work fine.
I'm sure we could come up with something better, using a series of levers and pulleys. Maybe something Rube Goldberg would be proud of.
Hahaha. Actually a number of places I DJ the table in the booth, and one place the ENTIRE BOOTH, is held by heavy wire to reduce turntable rumble from the subwoofers, or the subs near the booth have flyware on them to lift them a bit.
