I've scoured the internet for wall mounts to hold a pair of speakers 12.5"w x 11"d x 22.5"h that weigh 25lbs a piece, and haven't been able to find anything. Anybody have some ideas?

It seems with speakers that large, you'll need to build you own. Definitive Tech has Bi-polar speakers that can be hung on a wall. I don't know how you could buy them seperate from the speakers, or if you could find a way to make them work with yours. I guess there is not much of a profit margin for brackets hanging bigger speakers on the wall.

I was looking for mounts a while back and the widest ones I found were these. Looks like they won't quite accomodate the width you're looking for though. I don't know if they make a larger model or not. Good luck with the search.

Omnimount 30.0 is rated for up to a 30# speaker and they come in different mount configurations.
I wouldn't really trust those with the speakers in question. I know Omnimount is a good name in the field, but . . . well, I recommend at least a doubling of the rating to weight, if possible with these. Those ball joints . . . you gotta really screw the allen nut to make sure they are somewhat secure. If they will be hanging at an angle, you almost might need to raise them from ideal height, because there will likely be some give.

If I did it all over again, I would have the best matching speakers for my rears, and simply DRILL into the backs. I have received instructions on how best to do this from the manufacturer, after curiosity got the best of me.

And, if I did it all over again by drilling, I'd likely try these mounts that rmk uses, which he recommended to me:

I've had good luck with Omnimounts and have had my 23# center channel attached to a 30# Omnimount for 2 years without issue. I gotta agree that the initial setup with the ball is a bit of a PITA due to having to account for gravity as you torque the cr@p out of it. Otherwise I'm pretty happy with them and find them to be a simple, adaptable, and relatively inexpensive solution. As always, YMMV.

I believe the next step up from the 30# mount is a 60# mount that is available from their line marketed to professionals, search for omnimount 60.0 if interested.

heavy capable

Bought these from Radio shack  and I'm pretty sure they are not available any more. They could easily be made though as its just a simple bend that one could hammer out in a vice. I have had some old modified 40lb'ers hanging on these for 4 years now. Downside is there is no swivel ball or the like.

Nice!
That's a lot like the rail systems they sell to hang kitchen cabinets.
You could get one and cut it to fit.

The basic rail mounts won't work, I have to be able to rotate and angle the speakers downwards, I think the ones from htd should work. My only other option was hanging them from chains fromt he cieling, which I didn't want to do because I couldn't adjust the left to right aim too easily.

If you need adjustability, Ommimounts are your best option IMO.

Omni Mounts have a ball-swivel mount with full movement. Plus the arm on the 30.0's rotates 180 degs. There's almost limitless angles you can get with them. Plus they are the only ones I could find capable of handling a heavy bookshelf speaker.

They make a bottom mount or a rear mount 30.0 bracket:

I use these and they are rock solid. Mine support a set of Polk RTia3s (16#) no problem.
