Wall mounting and rear access

My google-fu is weak today, so perhaps someone would be kind enough to answer this for me.
If I mount my Samsung plasma (hp-t4254) on the wall with a non-tilting mount will I still be able to access the plugs in the back?

I can't see spending the money on tilting since it looks fine (to me) at all but the sillest angles. It seemed that perhaps the extra money might be worth it since it would give a little more access to the back.
I know I shouldn't need to get back there much with everything runnng through the reciever, but like many here, i tend to mess and fidgit.

Thanks,
ChunkyDark

This would really depend on how the inputs are configured on the back of the TV.

My westy's inputs are facing out toward each side. Some on left some on right and this makes them easy to get to. My LG has them facing down so I have much less room with the proximity to the mounting hardware. There is only about 3" of clearance with the non tilt mount.

The tilt mount has more like 4" when not tilted and you can get around 6" when tilted to get to the inputs. I don't think I paid that much more for the tilting model so it may be worth it just for the extra room.

I agree, mine are all on tilt and swivel mounts. It's worth the little bit extra.

LOL!

What's sad(funny?) is I probably have enough cables lying around it actually do that.

Thanks for the feedback guys, definitely going with the tilting.

Either way fitting the cables once it's on the wall is not easy by any means. If the cables are merely running externally up the wall - connect your cables to your TV before hanging. If you are concealing the cables in-wall - a small mirror and a flashlight makes connecting cables a lot easier. :D

Hanging a set like that should be a two man job depending on where you're mounting it and how high. It is very difficult to reach the connections on that set when it is mounted. It really takes one person to hold the set up while the other plugs everything in and then it gets hung.

This is assuming that all the wires are run through the wall.
