My surround speakers (Paradigm Mini-Monitor v3 bookshelf speakers) are currently sitting on some nice heavy metal stands on spikes and filled with sand for extra weight. But I now have a 1 year old just starting to run loose around the house and these stands and speakers are not light and may leave a sizable dent in his head if he pulls them over.
So was wondering on everyone's thoughts on using wall mount brackets of some kind to mount them instead so they can be screwed in somehow making tipping less likely. Will you lose much going from stands to wall mount brackets? Other issue is I may have to screw into the MDF panel which will obviously leave a mark! There may be some brackets that grip the speaker instead of using screws but they don't seem to look as nice.
My front presence speakers are already wall mounted but these are much smaller speakers that came supplied with wall mounts.
