Hi All, I just bought a pioneer vsx-1021-k, I'm having some trouble setting it up. I tried to connect a couple of analog inputs to the CD, TAPE, and video 2, and I can't seem to get any sound out. I hooked up my iphone to the usb jack in the front, and that works just fine (plays music). Any suggestions? Am I missing some setup steps?

Thanks!

On that receiver, there may be a digital input option as well as an analog input option. A VSX-812 that I had was like that. Since you're trying to use analog inputs, make sure that the source input is switched to analog on each of those source inputs. Read your instruction manual to see how to do that, because they may have changed the procedure over the years. By the way, the reason why that option is also on the tape input is that it also serves as a CD recorder/player input. CD recorders had optional digital hook-ups. My Sony CD recorder is like that, for example.

yea i tried switching using 'signal select' but with no luck :( And video 2 inputs are analog only anyway. By the way I do not have a tv hooked up to it yet, so no access to the gui. Only using the remote and front of the receiver for controls. I have also not set up the MACC.
