Hey guys, in a chopper forum I used to frequent, they had a section that was just threads on "good and proven" parts thats cost didnt reflect the quality {in a positive way}...
so in the sections was a list of threads each for a specific items like...

Vtwin engines-
RSD transmissions-
Softail frames-
Ridgid frames-
ect...
and the members put the products they thought fit with the price, then they had the thread setup so you could vote on each one.
So in the Vtwin engine thread it would say-
Ultima 96" 44 votes
S&S 100" 22 votes
Evo 80" 40 votes
the ratings weren't who had them or which is overall best, they were are they the best bang for your dollar...
This helped the new comers a lot, because they would start threads saying, "which frame should I start with" and instead of having 2000 threads like that they could go and se what the members already thought was a good value...

When it was all done, I was amazed, it constantly got updated, but you could really go into it, pick all the top items and end up with a real nice bike for short money....

I think this would be perfect here...
AVR-
Towers-
2 ch Amplifiers-
5 ch amplifiers-
PC amplifiers-
Tube amplifiers-
Front soundstage-
Surrounds-
ect....

Anyway, not sure where I should have posted this so I put it here...:)

The Andrew Jones line of budget speakers from Pioneer. Probably the best bang for your buck in cheap speakers out there.

I have to agree for the money they are well worth the price of admission, also the energy classic is a 1/2 step up from a HTIB package, and good for budget buyer with no a lot of space, then I would say the Ascends are next, until you get up around $2000 per set....
So what is the best value?
If we had a vote thread for speakers, people could look and say, "OK the Pioneers are the best for the money because 60 people voted them that way, and they cost $300 per set but they are to big, so it looks like the energy's are my fit with 20 votes, or the pioneers are nice but I wouldnt mind spending a little more, looks like the Ascends are the best for me with 50 votes.... "
Now I know that the best way to pick speakers is it audition them in your home, but this just isnt possible for some people with out taking the risk of having to pay shipping costs for 10 sets of speakers, so this will give them a starting point..
